              Scott Speedset S50 - 650b Conversion! 12/10/2011

The 650b conversion...take a road bike with tight clearances and put 37c tires (37b technically) and fenders on it.  It can be done!  New wheels, tires, and brakes and you've got yourself a sweet commuter!  Still needs some tweaking, but it's 93% there!

After David filled up his broken spoke card (break 10, the 11th is free), he finally upgraded his wheels.  What we have here are Velocity Fusion rims, Shimano 105 hubs, and DT Swiss Comp spokes.  The wheels do a great job complimenting rest of the bike!

Just put on some brand new Velocity Aerohead's built to our own Liquid hubs.  Result: 1.75lbs weight savings.  Sweet bike too!

This is a new Surly frame built with components from another build.  This was built up to be a solid commuter with utility and durability in mind.  Features handbuilt Velocity Synergy rim to red anodized Novatec hubs, Shimano Deore mountain triple crankset, and a Brook B17 Standard.

The red Specialized Crossroads is the original bike from which the components came from.

It's a Pinarello, always classy!  Sold with brand new Velocity Aerohead rims built to Campy Record hubs and Wheelsmith butted spokes, very nice wheels!  Couple other small fixes and it was good to go!

Scott CR1 Pro frame built up with Campy Record mix.  Highlights our lightweight Velocity Aerohead wheels with our house brand of ultralight Liquid™ road hubs.  Great looking and should be a fast bike!

Standard conversion, but the owner did a nice job picking out components and color coordinating the bike.  Just a sharp looking ride.

Well, finally decided to part with my Bianch Eros touring bike.  It is a 59cm and too big for me or my wife to ride, so it is off to someone who can ride it.  Has an older 8 speed Campy group, not original to the bike, but very functional.  New Tektro dual pivot brakes replaced the horrendous single pivot nightmares that came with the group.  Beautiful bike all around.  Oh, it was 22lbs, not bad for a 13 year old steel bike with no weight saving components.

David and his Bianchi San Remo randonneuring/touring rig.  This was just after we installed his new Schmidts and Son 28 dynamo wheelset (Velocity Synergy rims, Shimano Ultegra rear hub.)

So, this one came in as a trade-in (which we no longer do, sorry.)  Anyway, the bike had a Manitou SX Carbon fork that was leaking like crazy so it needed a new fork.  We replaced it with a Manitou Minute Expert fork, replaced the cables, and made a few other adjustments and what we had was a 23 lb rocket.  The new owner has since put on a Brooks Swift saddle and a fancy chainstay protector.
